Sapna Chaudhary is a famous singer and a dancer. Sapna came to limelight from her Bigg Boss days. She came into controversy in February 2016 by singing a song with casteist remarks.
Recently, Sapna Chaudhary was in Delhi to meet the Congress leadership on Friday. However, as the party leaders were not there the meeting was rescheduled.
Karnal BJP MP Ashwini Kumar Chopra took a jibe at Haryanvi singer, dancer Sapna Chaudhary and called her ‘thumkewali’. Talking to media persons he said, “Congress fights poll or does thumka?”
According to sources, Sapna met some party leaders in office.”Sonia Ji and Congress have done a lot of work for the country, I am very impressed with them, so I have come here to meet her and Rahul ji. There is no political motive behind this meeting. The good and bad time comes in everyone’s life, but when you get the chance, you should not leave it,” she said.
In July 2016, a case was registered against her under the SC/ST act. After this, Sapna tried to commit suicide by consuming poison in September 2016. The reports said that she was suffering from depression due to two cases filed against her and so she tried ending her life.
On the basis of complaint filed by the Dalit activists, Gurgaon police, had registered a FIR against the singer.
