Indian film industry is a glamour and award functions are major events here. IIFA awards are very famous award shows and celebrities don’t miss this chance to showcase their fashion chance. At this year’s IIFA awards, Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, Mouni Roy and Urvashi Rautela have turned heads with their beautiful and hot fashion.
This year, the IIFA Awards are being hosted at Thailand.
The 19th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards promises to be quite the extravagant affair with star-studded performances by the likes of Rekha, Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. Rekha will be taking to the IIFA stage after nearly two decades and funny men Karan Johan and Ritiesh Deshmukh will be hosting the show.
There will be a musical performance composed by composer and director Pritam which draws inspiration from the music and instruments of Thailand.
The beautiful celebrities of Bollywood will be hosted by official hotel partners, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. Located at Sukhimvit Road, one of Thailand’s longest boulevards, the hotel is strategically located close to Bangkok’s most famous eateries and shopping destinations.
The beautiful and luxurious hotel has a range of dining options from authentic Thai to delicious continental. You can be sure that some of the celebrities will be tucking in a meal or three at Akira Back Restaurant and Bar, a dramatic Asian-fusion restaurant perched on the 37th floor, with a range of modern gastronomical experiments on the menu. The Michelin-star chef, Akira Back, has curated an east-meets-west menu, which blends Japanese and Korean recipes with western influences.
After that, you can find your favourite celebrities making whole new wardrobe at Pratunum, Thailand’s largest clothing market or pamper yourself with designer wear at EmQuartier, just a few steps away from the hotel.
As a part of the IIFA Awards, Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park will also be hosting the Cinematic Heritage Auction in association with Osian, to showcase vintage cinema memorabilia. The IIFA awards were a treat to watch like every year.
